On displeasing photographs

Time and again, I see photographs that displease me. I tell myself that they imply nothing – nothing except that which my paranoia makes of them. Many have also told me before that these photographs are hardly reflective of the heart’s inclinations. But how is anyone to stop themselves from thinking otherwise; from suspecting that the times have changed, and along with it, those sequestered and secret inclinations.
