I met a person who believes that he is one day going to become a prince. I told him ‘princes’ are no longer a thing now. But he insisted quite fervently, and I laughed it off. Then, he continued, with the fervor my skepticism had raised in him. He told me that he is so convicted of this fact that he had begun practicing the mannerisms of a prince. He told me: “One day, I am going to become a prince, and so I had better prepare myself now.” I asked him what else he did in his free time, and he said nothing – all he does is to try and emulate the life of a prince. “What about your current life?” I asked him. And he told me it doesn’t matter; his real life awaits him some time in the future; as soon as he becomes a prince.
